In the Works

After completing my Master of Arts in Writing Popular Fiction in June 2006, coupled with starting a new job, undergoing some significant life changes, selling a house, and relocating (whew!), I was a bit shell-shocked and laid off writing for a while.

In January I attended Borderlands Writers Boot Camp in Baltimore, and it really kick-started my writing career.

I turned the story I workshopped at Boot Camp into a novella. It’s “cooling off” for a bit before I begin revision. I’m continuing to work on short stories, and I also have plans for several novels—my to-do list fills a whole page—but one project at a time...!

I continue to read and study about writing fiction, and one day I hope to add teaching or writing a book about fiction writing to my list of accomplishments.
